🔮 Symbolic Approach
Glasses are a prosthetic of clairvoyance, not a third eye. Western saints and scholars got them late; in Japan, schoolboy glasses speak of study. Losing them is a ritual fog. Dirty lenses, a truth you refuse to wipe clean. Someone else's glasses mean you see through someone else's Superego.
🛋️ Psychoanalysis (Freud & Jung)
Intellectualization: you 'put on your glasses' to avoid feeling. Breaking the lenses: refusal to see a fact. Sunglasses indoors: shame of being seen. Freud would read the gaze; keep it simple: what are you blurring out?
🧠 Neuroscience
You sleep without your lenses, the dream world floats. Migraine, screen, emerging presbyopia: the visual cortex tells an optical story. Very peripheral and frequent.
💡 Practical Advice
Wipe away a reality (a figure, a message, an eye doctor appointment if needed). If you're wearing someone else's glasses, take them off: an opinion of your own, even blurry, is better than borrowed clarity.
