Pants, garment of the rider then of modern equality, cover walking and social sex. Losing them in public, the same old rite of humiliation. Pants too big, an adult role not yet tailored. Too tight, a decency that cuts off the blood. A dead person's pants, heritage of gait.

Gender identity, modesty, competence ("wearing the pants"). Open zipper: anxiety of being seen desiring. Wet pants: regression, shame. Choosing someone else's pants: imitation.
🧠 Neuroscience
Belt, elastic, need to urinate, exam dream. The lower body is often poorly represented in REM: hence the magically absent pants.

Adjust a role (real size: mission, gender, position). Zip up what needs to be, loosen what suffocates. Comfortable clothing tomorrow, and a sentence tailored to you.
