🔮 Symbolic Approach
Almost all cultures have visits from the dead: parent, child, lover. This isn't necessarily a "real" spirit — it's tie-work. A peaceful revenant says goodbye. An angry revenant points to an unsaid thing, a debt, a missing ritual (not a curse).
🛋️ Psychoanalysis (Freud & Jung)
Unfinished grief, guilt, idealization. Freud: grief work. The dead person sometimes carries a message that is yours. An aggressive revenant can be anger against the departure, turned inward.
🧠 Neuroscience
The brain keeps simulating familiar faces for a long time. Very common, not pathological. Stress, anniversary, smell, photo: triggers.
💡 Practical Advice
Say a sentence to them upon waking, then make a gesture of life (light, meal, call). If these visits stop you from living, grief counseling helps more than a second oracle.
