Amaterasu
Amaterasu is the sun and the soul of Japan — supreme kami of Shinto, from whose lineage every emperor descends. She hid in a cave once and the world went dark; the gods had to lure her out with a mirror and a dance. Light itself needs coaxing sometimes.
