Dionysus

Dionysus is the god who loosens every knot — wine, ecstasy, theatre, and the wild green force of growing things. He arrives with a thyrsus and a retinue of maenads, turning order upside down. In Orphic hymns, he holds a special place at the heart of the cosmic moral order.
