Fuxi

Fuxi is the culture hero who gave China its foundations — the eight trigrams of the I Ching, writing, the fishing net, and music. Half-man, half-serpent, one of the Three Sovereigns, he read the patterns of heaven and earth and taught mortals to do the same.
